Serving at the hospital.

Today at the hospital I'm making hats for newborns while I sit at my reception desk. I serve at the hospital every Thursday from 8 o'clock till 12:30. I serve at the reception desk to tell people what room patients are in etc.. But also I sticker supplies for the hospital when needed and today I make baby hats and stickering..  It's a fun service and I get to meet people.

Transfers saying good bye to President and Sister Bell

We were able to go to Wichita for transfers today since this is a huge transfer. Our mission president, president Bell and his wife have finished their mission. So this is the last time we can all get together to say goodbye beforethey leave. They're leaving tomorrow. We arrived in Wichita a few minutes before noon. They provided a sack lunch which was delicious. Then we had a talent program from our missionaries and sisters which was full of humor. Then we went outside and took a group picture. Then we went into the chapel and had testimonies from all the elders and president Bell and sister Bell that we're leaving on this transfer and going home. It was a wonderful day and very spiritual testimonies. It made us want to strive to be the very best we can be. We returned home at 8 o'clock tonight. We had stopped at Costco for a second before coming home. Is truly a wonderful great day.

Kim Stewart

On Monday nights we go to Sister Stewart's house and read the book of Mormon with her and a investigator that we love dearly. Tonight she invited us not only to read but also to dinner. The investigator did not show up for some reason and we missed her but we had a delightful evening getting to know Kim Stewart better. She is an amazing lady full of life and joy. She has so much to share with others and is so willing to. Kim supports her husband who is our Branch President and is always ready to go the extra mile. They have the elders over usually weekly for dinner. Kim is always helping someone and always has a smile while doing it. We've also had a movie night with our investigator at Kim's house it was wonderful also. Kim is so gracious to open her home to us and others we love her dearly. Kim is a wonderful giving friend.
The picture from left to right is Sister Cochrane, me and Kim Stewart. Not to mention a picture of the delicious food she's a great cook.

Well, I had one long day today. Went to Topeka and had my CT Scan and my Shunt-O-Gram so not sure what is going on yet until Dr. reads the film's. Should know something sometime next week. Got home and our driver we had today ordered 2 sets of Angel Earrings from me so I made them within 10 minutes and he paid for them and I also handed out my 2nd Book of Mormon then we ate dinner and then went over to the Sister MISSIONARIES house and played cards & had a ball. I almost won til they finally decided to throw Skips on me to keep me from winning. BUMMER, BUT IT WAS A CLOSE GAME. I LOVE YOU SISTERS DEARLY. WITHOUT YOU, I HONESTLY DON'T KNOW WHERE I WOULD BE. I LOVE YOU BOTH.

Party for Sister Cochrane

Today was busy we took the Elders to district meeting like we do every Tuesday.  Left at 9:00 am. got home from the district meeting in Emporia about 3:00 . Made sloppy Joe's for a picnic we hold for investigators and any one from the branch that wants to come.
Sister Cochrane's birthday is the 16th of June I told her I wanted to have a party  for her. She told me no she absolutely didn't want a party.  But Judy a friend decide sister Cochrane needed a cake and ice cream, so she had brother Hazlett bring the ice cream and she brought the cake. At the picnic everyone started sing happy birthday including Sister Cochrane not knowing the cake was for her. After all her birthday is a week away. To say the the least she was shocked and surprised to say the least. But she took it in fun.

Pat Harvey

Sister Cochrane, Pat Harvey and  Me.  Pat is a dear friend  we have visited our whole mission about  once a week.
Today we decided to do something different we brought a card game Skip O we all enjoyed it.
We take Pat to lunch once in a while. Monday we went to the Feed Bucket  for lunch in Yates center together.

Ruby Fortner

Ruby Fortner
Was baptized a couple of months before I came on my mission. Her husband Joe was baptized  at the same time. Ruby has many health problems  and has lived at the rehab center the whole time we have known her. She is a Very dear friend and we visit her most days.
Me, Ruby and sister Cochrane

When Ruby was baptized they asked the Recreation center if they could use the pool to baptized Ruby because she is in a wheel chair and there was no way the font at the church would work. Thankfully the recreation center said yes. They baptized her in her wheel chair, they had some thing that lowered her in the water anyway it worked out okay.
We read a chapter in the Book of Mormon some of the days we visit. We have played a card game a couple  of times also. We alway have a good visit with her. She will always be a dear friend to use. On Ruby's  birthday we brought pizza, cake , root beer, balloons and a movie to watch. That was a lot of fun.
