Thanksgiving dinner at Life Care with Terry and Ruby

Life Care in Burlington is amazing they had their Thanksgiving dinner last night and it was wonderful.  A dear friend of ours Terry invited us to the feast since her family  was unable to attend. Also we was with Ruby our dear friend who's family as was unable to attend.  We had a wonderful time. Many family members brought salad and dessert beside what was cook their in their  kitchen at the Life Care.
With much extra effort from staff members that truly give their heart in help everyone know they are loved and truly  want them to be happy the night was great. All the extra work was done by caring staff that I am sure went house very tired but happy once again
Giving their all. So many quietly serve way beyond the call of duty they do it because of love. I  could not take pictures of the decorations and tables because of privacy for other residents but it was nice. We stayed and played Skip Bo while tired staff clean up. It make such a difference when people take the time to visit I  take my hat off to all that do you are awesome.

Renae Gifford and family

Today we visited Renae Gifford and family but all the members were not there. Nathan her husband was at work and her oldest son was with the missionaries.  Renae is a school teacher with many other irons in the fire she is an amazing lady  and we love her she helps the branch a lot and we appreciate all she does. She leads the music which we love and are grateful for her talent. The family runs a game store in their garage which people in the community can come and actually play games free to see if they like the games, choose to or not to buy them for there homes. Many just come and play including many of the Elders on P day. They are a amazing love, serving, family, we feel so blessed to know each one of them.

Life Care Center

We spend a lot of time at the Life Care Center. We read scriptures, play game, visit. The staff is wonderful and so giving and caring and we love the people we visit. I wanted to show picture of more of the people we visit but there are laws so I  can't. But Ruby and Terry it is okay to take their picture. The residence had dressed up for Halloween and  kids came and they had bowls of candy they handed out to the kids. It was pretty  cool for the kids and the residents.  Sister Cochrane which is usually  with me was home cooking dinner for the Elders this time so no pictures  of her this round.

Women's Health Conference

We went to the Women's Health Conference last night it was fun and a lot of good information . Many businesses donated so there was a lot of drawing. Many received  gifts for being there. The first picture is of the many gifts donated for drawing. One of the booths was a bra pong which was great fun. Sorry I forgot to get a picture of the booth but it was trying to bounce the ball into a bra for a prize. I did take pictures of our two dear friends Mary and Helen trying to throw the ball to win a prize. Of course the true reason for the booth was cancer awareness. The night was fun with friends to visit with, food, great  program , a visit from a very unique women name Erlene oh and very entertaining video called Staying a Live with many that work at the hospital in the video. IT WAS A VERY ENJOYABLE NIGHT. Thanks for everyone's hard work that helped to make it happen..
